New lines of support are available for companies and territories affected by the 2024 fires

Turismo de Portugal has created two new lines of support for companies and public infrastructures or facilities for tourist use affected by the fires in 2024: the line of support for the treasury of tourist companies - fires 2024 and the line of support to regenerate territories - fires 2024, respectively.

The 2024 wildfires cash flow support line for tourism businesses seeks to provide financial help to recover from the damage caused by the fires.

This support is available to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that have their SME certification updated in accordance with Decree-Law no. 372/2007 of November 6, and that are included in the economic activities described in Annex II of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 130-A/2024 of September 27.

The financial support has a maximum limit of 300,000 euros per company. This amount is repayable, without any associated interest, up to 25% of turnover in 2023.

The regenerating territories - fires 2024 line of support supports projects for the recovery and regeneration of public tourism infrastructures and facilities that have been affected by this year's fires.

Public entities (Central, Regional or Local Administration) and non-profit associations can benefit from this line. The support has a limit of 400,000 euros per project, is non-refundable and has a financing rate of 85% applicable to the eligible investment.

Applications for the support lines can be submitted individually until December 31, 2024, using the electronic form available on the Investment Project Management System (SGPI). In the case of a joint application, the application must be submitted by one entity representing the others.
